Tire Size Calculator
The Tire Size Calculator can calculate the tire dimensions. These dimensions include side wall height, tire width, tire diameter, tire circumference, revolutions per mile, and revolutions per kilometer. In order to determine this information, you need to enter the tire specifications which encompass the tire width, aspect ratio, and rim diameter.
To see an example of how this can be filled out, press the sample button at the end of the Tire Data Specification portion of the Tire Size Calculator. This will show you how to write out this information. To fill out this information for your own tires, first you need to enter a number for the tire width in millimeters. You can either measure this yourself or look at the tire manual. For example, the sample shows the tire width as 245 (mm). Next, you should enter the aspect ratio in a whole number. The aspect ratio is the section height divided by the section width and should also be written down in the manual. In the sample this number is 45. Lastly, you should type a number for the rim diameter in inches. For example, in the sample, the rim diameter is 17 (in). Once all this information is entered, you can press calculate. The Tire Size Calculator will display the side wall height, tire width, tire diameter, and tire circumference in inches as well as the revolution per mile and per kilometer. If you wish to erase the information you have entered or make a new calculation, you can click the reset button which will delete all the information you have typed up.
